Salt Lake

We got to SLC Christmas eve after a 2 day drive. We went thru Vegas since Tahoe was getting so much snow. We hit a big accident outside of Vegas where it took us 2.5 hrs to go 30 miles...maddening!!  But what can you do :)   I did finally make it a bathroom just in time :)  We found a nice hotel in St. George late that night and left the next morning.  We had snow on the roads a little bit but it was ok.  We were definitely happy to finally get to Salt Lake!

Christmas morning was really clear and sunny so we went on a nice walk with the kids and my parents downtown. We were also able to take the kids to the Church History Museum.  Jake had a lot of fun in the kids section playing with the pretend food and cooking us a "delicious dinner". We took naps everyday, except Jake, and tried to take it easy and enjoy our time there.  We met some friends at City Creek Mall, had a nice date night that ended with a little snow, spent time with grandma and grandpa, played in the snow and did a lot of walking :)  Jason ended up carrying both boys alot until we got smart and got the stroller out.   We didnt use our car once!

White Christmas

We went to salt lake to spend Christmas with grandma and grandpa and were lucky enough to have some snow. This was Jakes first real experience with snow. Right away he jumped into the snow and did a snow angel. I'm not sure where he learned that ( probably Kipper the dog) but it was super cute! Sam thought the snow was OK but just loved being outside more than anything and splashing in the melted snow puddles. He wasn't a big fan of all the clothes.

"End-of-Days" Rainbow

For a day that was supposed to be the end of the world, this was a pretty nice sight to see.

"Uh!"

Sammy doesn't have many words yet, so his universal word for anything he points to, is "Uh!"
...and he has us very well-trained in the guessing game that always ensues after.

"Busytown, Book, and Bed"

Jake's nightly routine... has to get some TV in, then a story, before he is ready for sleepy-time.
